Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has issued 911 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) in the latest Express Entry draw, exclusively targeting Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) candidates. To be eligible, candidates needed a minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 732.
Today’s draw is the first of September, following a notably active summer. In July and August, IRCC conducted 14 separate Express Entry draws, with July breaking the record for the highest number of draws in a single month since the system’s launch in 2015. Between July 2 and July 31, nine draws were held, making it one of the busiest months on record.
The most recent Express Entry draw before this one occurred on August 27, issuing 3,330 ITAs to candidates in the Canadian Experience Class (CEC) program.
IRCC has established a pattern of conducting multiple draws every other week, frequently including at least one draw for PNP candidates. This strategy aligns with the department’s commitment to holding more “domestic” draws, aiming to increase opportunities for temporary residents already in Canada to transition to permanent residency. It also seeks to reduce the influx of new temporary residents entering the country.
